1. Stuck or failed canister vent valve/solenoid

2. Debris-clogged vent valve or filter

   Dust and mud can plug the vent valve or its filter, restricting flow and setting the code without the valve itself being electrically dead.

3. Wiring or connector corrosion at the vent valve

   The exposed connector under the truck corrodes, interrupting the circuit and tripping P0446.

4. Charcoal canister or line blockage

   A blocked canister or a kinked vent line restricts the system and can set the code along with, or instead of, a valve fault.
