What to look for
The live reader talks to your car over Web Bluetooth, so you need a Bluetooth 4.0 / BLE (Low Energy) adapter. Bluetooth “Classic” dongles, WiFi adapters, and USB adapters will not work — the browser can’t see them. Every adapter below is BLE. Live OBD is in beta: real-car validation is ongoing, and supported data varies by vehicle and adapter.
Not on iPhone or iPad yet
iPhone and iPad browsers can’t connect to Bluetooth adapters, so Live OBD isn’t available on iPhone or iPad yet. Use Chrome on Android, or Chrome or Edge on a desktop/laptop. (Demo mode works anywhere.)
