What P0128 usually means on a Equinox

P0128 sets when the Equinox's engine does not reach its expected operating temperature within the PCM's allotted time, and the usual cause is a thermostat stuck open or opening too early. A slow warm-up, weak cabin heat in cold weather, or a low-sitting temperature gauge are the everyday signs. Occasionally a coolant temperature sensor reading low fools the PCM into thinking the engine is still cold.
