What P0430 usually means on a 1500
P0430 is the bank 2 version of the Ram's catalyst-efficiency code. As with P0420, the HEMI's habit of breaking exhaust manifold bolts is a leading local cause: a leak on the bank 2 side lets air into the exhaust and can trip the monitor even when the converter is fine. A genuinely worn converter on that bank is also common at higher mileage, and a lazy sensor can contribute. Confirm which side your engine treats as bank 2, and rule out a manifold leak before replacing parts.
