What this code means
This code means the engine computer found an electrical problem — an open circuit, a short, or out-of-spec resistance — when driving the cylinder 7 fuel injector. Cylinder 7 only exists on engines with at least seven cylinders, so in practice P0207 shows up on V8s and larger. Like all P020x circuit codes, it describes an electrical failure, not a flow problem: a clogged injector would still test electrically normal and sets different codes. The likely faults, cheapest first, are a corroded or loose injector connector, harness wiring chafed or melted through somewhere along its run, and a failed coil winding inside the injector; a bad driver in the engine computer is the rare tail case. Because the injector likely isn't firing, the cylinder 7 misfire code P0307 frequently accompanies it.

You shouldn't be. P0207 refers to cylinder 7, which only exists on V8s and larger engines. If a smaller engine shows this code, suspect a scan-tool misread, a stored code from a different vehicle, or a computer/software glitch worth a second scan.
Is P0207 urgent?
